Five arrested after a drug bust in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Wednesday night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Bloomfield Road.

Approximately $25,000 worth of suspected Fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine was seized.

Four firearms and a large quantity of Canadian and American cash was also seized.

A 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:

– unauthorized possession of a firearm x4

– failing to comply with his release conditions x2

– possession for the purposes of trafficking x3

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 35-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with:

– unauthorized possession of a firearm x4

– possession of a firearm while prohibited x 10

– possession for the purposes of trafficking x3

– failing to comply with her release conditions

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 27-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with:

– unauthorized possession of a firearm x4

– failing to comply with her release conditions x2

– possession for the purposes of trafficking x3

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 34-year-old Mississauga man was arrested and charged with:

– unauthorized possession of a firearm x4

– possession for the purposes of trafficking x3

He was released pending a future court date of July 15, 2021.

A 39-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with:

– unauthorized possession of a firearm x4

– possession for the purposes of trafficking x3

He was released pending a future court date of July 15, 2021.
