Leo Johnston of Port Lambton

Leo Johnston, a lifelong resident of Port Lambton passed peacefully away on June 7, 2021 at the age of 77 with his beloved wife Margaret Ann (nee Muir) by his side.

Leo is the son of the late Gordon and Angela Johnston (nee Conlon) and dear brother of Mary (the late Melvin) Murphy (the late Henry Raymond), the late Katherine (the late Larry) Eansor, Joan (the late Don) Cartier, Dorothy (Pat) Johnston, Carrol (Jack) Warren (the late Sam Iatonna) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Growing up on the family farm, Leo gained a great passion for farming.

He also acquired an expertise for raising cattle.

His willingness to share this knowledge was well known around the county and appreciated by the many who called upon him when they needed help with birthing a calf.

A heartfelt thank you to the many Doctors and Team members at Bluewater Health Palliative Care and Surgical B Wing for the exceptional care and compassion given to Leo and our family.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm.

Masks and social distancing are mandatory.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in-person funeral services will be private.

Leo will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Lambton.

If desired, remembrances to the Bluewater Health Foundation or Charity of your Choice may be left at the funeral home.
