Police: Crash leads to impaired charges, uttering threats, more impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 3:20 p.m. yesterday a motorist called police in regards to a vehicle heading east bound on Talbot Trail diving at slow speeds going off the road way and then swerving into the oncoming lane and speeding up again.

Police attended in the area and located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

A 58-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with operation while impaired.

He was released with a court date of July 7, 2021.

Motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 8:09 p.m. on June 12, 2021 police were called to the area of Erie Street North in Ridgetown in regards to a single vehicle in the ditch.

Police attended the area and learned the driver walked away and was picked up by another person and left the area.

Police located the driver, he was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The driver,a 62-year-old Thamesville man was later released with a court date of July 8, 2021.

Utter threats and fail to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 12, police were called to a residence on Grand Avenue East in Chatham in regards to a man making threats to kill another person.

The man was identified as a 22-year-old Chatham man.

Through investigation it was learned that the man was also on conditions to reside with his surety and notify police of any change of address.

The man was not in compliance with these conditions.

He was arrested for failing to comply, utter threats and released with a court date of July 8.
