Newcomers spice up Austin Series at Dresden Raceway

Three newcomers will be making things interesting in both divisions of the Mark Austin Pacing Series on Sunday afternoon at Dresden Raceway.

In the first division Shes A Cameidian was the runaway winner last week as the three-year-old Hes Watching filly rolled to a 12 length win in 1:58.1 for Alfie Carroll.

This week Stiletto Blue Chip will be the toughest competition after coming off a win at Georgian Downs in 1:55.

The three-year-old American Ideal filly won by open lengths in Hanover two starts ago in 1:58.3.

J.R. Plante will be at the controls for Stiletto Blue Chip.

The second division saw Carroll guide the three-year-old Shadow Play gelding, Shadow Warrior, to victory in 2:00 with a wire to wire performance.

This week Bigmacwithcheese is a threat with a lifetime mark of 1:56.2 last year in Charlottetown.

The five-year-old Betterthancheddar gelding can naivigate a half mile track and has the driving services of Dale Spence.

Sir Lucknow, a three-year-old Sir Luck gelding, is coming off back to back wins at Hanover Raceway and will be in contention for Plante.
