Police: Lawn mower stolen at the Downtown Chatham Centre, RIDE check, B&E

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, June 26, 2021 at approximately 2:50 p.m. police attended the area of Ridge Line, Ridgetown in response to a break and enter.

Through investigation it was learned that the residence, recently vacant, was broken into damaging one of the doors, causing approximately $400 damage.

There are no suspects at this time.

Reduce impaired driving everywhere (RIDE)

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday night, officers conducted RIDE spot checks in Tilbury.

The first driver through the R.I.D.E. spot check was administered a road side breath test and a 24 hour driver suspension was issued along with three provincial offence tickets for Highway traffic offences.

As road safety is a priority for our Police Service, we would like to remind everyone that RIDE spot checks will continue throughout the year across our community in an effort to keep all road users safe.

Break, enter and theft

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday morning, officers attended the area of the Downtown Chatham Centre on King Street West, Chatham in response to a call of a break and enter.

Police learned that sometime between June 25, 2021 and June 26, 2021, unknown suspects entered a storage building and stole a Toro lawn mower, valued at $400.
