Theft in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police Service have arrested a man for theft.
On June 29, 2021 at approximately 9:20 a.m., police were called to an address on St. Clair Street in Chatham in relation to a theft.
An employee, at this location was operating a forklift and stepped off it to obtain a drink from his workplace.
At this time, he heard someone say, “Nice set of keys.”
The employee observed that the man had the keys to the forklift and that he was now running from the scene.
The employee and a witness were able to take physical control of the man until police arrived.
A 26-year-old man of Chatham was arrested and charged with theft Under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with a release order.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested on outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police Service have arrested a man on an outstanding warrant.
On June 29, 2021, police were dispatched to a call of an intoxicated person on Queen Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, it was determined that the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
A 42-year-old man of Chatham was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

On June 30, 2021, shortly after midnight police located at man that was wanted for failing to attend court.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Police investigating several mischiefs
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating several mischiefs to vehicles that occurred on Oxley Drive in Chatham.
Sometime overnight, the suspects keyed the vehicles at four separate residences.
