Police: Tools stolen from construction site & workshop, public intoxication

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police located a 63 year-old male on Wellington Street sleeping on the sidewalk.

The male was intoxicated by alcohol and was unable to care for himself.

The male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was lodged into cells and later released once sober.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, police received a call of a disturbance at the Tim Hortons on Third Street in Chatham.

Police located a 40 year old male in the parking lot of the restaurant.

The male was intoxicated by alcohol and was unable to care for himself.

The male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was lodged into cells and later released once sober.

Break and enter into construction site in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight, unknown suspects forced their way into a construction site on St. Clair Street in the city of Chatham.

Once inside the suspects removed approximately $5,500 worth of tools.

Break and enter into workshop in Merlin

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight, unknown suspects forced their way into a workshop on Middle Line in the village of Merlin.

Once inside the suspects removed approximately $5,000 worth of tools.
