Man Arrested Twice In Same Day

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police arrested a man yesterday at approximately 4:15 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on July 13, 2021.

He was released on a Form 9 with a court date of August 11, 2021.

On July 22, 2021 at 6:46 p.m. police located the same man on the property of a business on Queens Line, Chatham going through vehicles. He was arrested for theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000.

The 25-year-old man of Chatham was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Three Arrested During Traffic Stop

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested three people as a result of a traffic stop.

On July 22, 2021 shortly after 3:00 p.m. police stopped a vehicle in relation to a traffic violation.

Through investigation, police learned that there were grounds to arrest all three occupants for possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The approximate street value would be $6,600.

A 55-year-old male of Chatham and a 45-year-old female of Blenheim were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 49-year-old female of Sarnia was released and is required to appear in court on August 12, 2021.

Several Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.

On July 13, 2021, the 29-year-old female of Wallaceburg failed to attend court as required.

The accused was located yesterday on Main Street in Wallaceburg. She was arrested, processed and released with a future court date of August 18, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on July 15, 2021.

On July 22, 201, at 7:30 p.m., the accused was located on Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.

A 52-year-old Wallaceburg man was released on a Form 10 and is required to attend court on August 20, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man on an outstanding warrant for an incident that occurred on July 13, 2021 involving him breaking into a residence, several motor vehicle offences and failing to comply with his probation order.

On July 22, 2021 at 9:40 p.m., Police attended to an address on Queen Street in Wallaceburg. The man refused to surrender to the police, thus a warrant to enter the dwelling was sought and approved.

The 42-year-old man of Dresden was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
