Lambton OPP officials allege: On July 31, 2021 at 11:40 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted regarding an assault that had taken place at an establishment in Corunna.
Officers attended and learned that an event security guard had been struck after coming to the aid of another staff member who was dealing with the unruly patron.
The security guard was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Witnesses identified the individual responsible, who was taken into custody without incident.
A 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with two counts of assault.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 4, 2021.
