Seven active COVID-19 cases in Chatham-Kent

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit officials updated their ‘current status’ page of their website on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Public health officials say a total of 132,357 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 70,025 people 12+ have received at least one dose and 62,884 people 12+ have received two doses.

The active COVID-19 case count sits at seven.

The total number of COVID-19 cases is 1,928 across Chatham-Kent.

CK Public Health officials say no one is hospitalized with COVID-19 from Chatham-Kent.

A total of 1,904 cases have been resolved..

A community outbreak at Community Living Chatham-Kent remains active.

Two cases are unknown, two cases have information pending, one case is linked to the community outbreak, one is linked to close contact and one is linked to travel.

CK Public Health officials say a total of 271 Chatham-Kent residents have had COVID-19 with a variant of concern or related mutation.

A total of 122,884 tests for the virus have been completed to date.

Since the pandemic began last March, a total of 17 people from Chatham-Kent have died from COVID-19.
