Man Charged with Criminal Harassment
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 29, 2021 a woman contacted police to report that upon exiting her home in Orford Township, she observed an old high school acquaintance from London sitting near her garage.
The woman chased the man off her property.
Yesterday morning, the woman woke to find the man sitting outside on her deck.
Officers located the man and he was taken into custody.
The 33-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with criminal harassment.
He was released pending a future court date of September 8, 2021.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 31, 2021 the man was released from custody with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend a specific family member’s home in Chatham.
Yesterday morning, the man attended the home and officers located him sitting in the driveway.
The 23-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply.
He was released pending a future court date of August 20, 2021.
Man Charged with Highway Traffic Act Offences
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a member of the Traffic Unit initiated a traffic stop on Lacroix Street in Chatham as the license plates were not registered for the vehicle.
The 57-year-old Harwich Township man was charged with use plates not authorized, failing to produce a license, failing to produce registration for the vehicle and failing to produce insurance.
The license plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Traffic Enforcement
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer with the Traffic Unit conducted traffic enforcement in Charing Cross.
Two motorists were stopped and charged with speeding.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, an officer with the Traffic Unit conducted traffic enforcement in Pain Court.
No infractions were observed.
