The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit officials updated their ‘current status’ page of their website on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
Public health officials say a total of 133,568 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 71,246 people 12+ have received at least one dose and 64,526 people 12+ have received two doses.
The active COVID-19 case count has increased to 29.
The total number of COVID-19 cases is 1,957 across Chatham-Kent.
A total of 1,911 cases have been resolved.
A total of 16 cases are linked to close contact, seven cases are unknown, three cases have information pending, two cases are linked to travel and one case is linked to an outbreak outside of Chatham-Kent.
CK Public Health officials say a total of 274 Chatham-Kent residents have had COVID-19 with a variant of concern or related mutation.
A total of 123,731 tests for the virus have been completed to date.
Since the pandemic began last March, a total of 17 people from Chatham-Kent have died from COVID-19.
