Break and enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning around 12:30 a.m. an unknown suspect forced their way into the LCBO on Wellington Street West in Chatham, causing about $1,000 damage.
Once inside, the suspect stole $500 worth of alcohol.

Man charged with break and enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 12 a.m. this morning, police responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence on Wellington Street East in Chatham.
Officers attended the address and located the man on the property.
The 42 year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with break and enter.
He was released pending a future court date of September 21, 2021.
Man charged with impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 12 a.m. this morning, police initiated a traffic stop on Forsyth Street in Chatham after a vehicle was viewed travelling the wrong direction.
Through investigation police believed the male driver was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 26 year-old was released pending a future court date of September 7, 2021.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE)
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, officers conducted RIDE spot checks throughout Blenheim.
A total of 250 vehicles were checked with three roadside breath tests administered.
One seven day licence suspension was issued.
As road safety is a priority for our Police Service, we would like to remind everyone that RIDE spot checks will continue throughout the year across our community in an effort to keep all road users safe.
