Joan Cartier (nee Johnston), a long-time resident of Wallaceburg passed away surrounded by her family on August 23, 2021 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her husband Donald Cartier (2006).
Joan was an exceptional woman whose strength was an inspiration to her family and friends.
She will be missed dearly by her children Mary Lynn Cartier and her son Ethan, Mark Cartier and his daughters Jessica and Tara, Val Kenny and her children Holly and Jacob, as well as her cherished family and friends.
Joan was a wonderful teacher for the Catholic School Board in Wallaceburg for many years and will be remembered fondly by her students and colleagues. Her family would like to thank the staff at the CKHA – Chatham Campus for their outstanding care and compassion.
Joan will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery (Port Lambton).
