Warrant arrests

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, just after 3 p.m. a Chatham was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

He was released on an appearance notice with a future court date of October 15, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, officers responded to a theft complaint at a business located on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

As a result of the investigation, a Chatham man was arrested for possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He was also wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant which was executed.

He was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of October 5, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, just after 10 p.m., a 27-year old Chatham woman turned herself in to the police, as she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Weapons charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. officers located a man on Fifth St that was the subject of a disturbance call yesterday.

As a result of the investigation the 45-year old Chatham man was arrested and charged with breach of undertaking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, sometime between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., unknown suspects entered an apartment on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

Once inside they stole Samsung Galaxy cell phone as well as an iPad Pro 10”.

Man charged with mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Late yesterday evening, just before midnight, officers responded to reports of a suspicious male in the area of Westcourt Blvd. in Wallaceburg.

Officers located a 30-year-old Wallaceburg man highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

He was arrested under the Liquor License Act and transported to CKPS Headquarters where he was to be held until sober.

Once in cells, the male purposely urinated all over the inside and outside of the cell.

He was then additionally charged with Mischief Under $5,000.
