Harvest Moon Virtual Dinner Party taking place Saturday

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) has officially launched a new virtual event, and tickets for the “Harvest Moon – A Virtual Dinner Party Experience” presented by Precise ParkLink are now on sale.

The event, powered by Technology Sponsor TekSavvy, brings a unique opportunity for guests to be guided through the full preparation of their dinner party menu, while being led by the familiar face of Celebrity Host John Catucci, Host of Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List and the hit series You Gotta Eat Here!, as well as Executive Chef Laura Panarese of Speducci Mercatto.

Catucci is no stranger to Chatham-Kent as he hosted the Foundation’s Parade of Chefs Gala in October of 2019, receiving rave reviews.

The Celebrity Host is being sponsored by TD Bank.

In addition to the main course feature, the event also includes a pre-dinner Happy Hour sponsored by Bouma Builders Inc. where guests will sample local beer from Blenheim’s Red Barn Brewing Co., and get up close and personal through a Q&A with a local celebrity.

It has been announced that Dresden’s T.J Brodie, of the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be the guest of honour for the event.

The agenda rounds out with an exquisite wine & cheese pairing led by Master Taster Barb Dejonge from the tasting room at Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards, and a private performance by a local band.

Guests will receive a meal box for two people complete with all of the elements to make their dinner party experience a night to remember, including fresh produce provided by local Chatham-Kent farmers as part of the required ingredients.

“We are so excited to bring this new event concept to our community,” says Mary Lou Crowley, President & CEO of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, in a media release.

“With full scale gala-style events still not taking place, we had to put our creativity to work to introduce something different that people could get excited about and still helps us raise funds for health care in Chatham-Kent.”

Proceeds from the new event will support the highest priority needs at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA), helping to invest in program innovation, life-saving equipment, and modernizing facilities to enable world-class healthcare in Chatham-Kent.

“The need to be innovative and adapt to the many ways Covid-19 has changed the current fundraising landscape continues” says Bob Hockney, Board Chair, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “Our team is always looking for new ways to keep health care at the forefront of our community and we’ve been extremely fortunate to receive such incredible support as we move forward together.”

Precise ParkLink, who has been a supporter of the Foundation’s events for many years has signed on to be the Presenting Sponsor for the new virtual event, stating “The Harvest Moon Virtual Dinner Party is a great way for Precise ParkLink to get further involved in the community and do our part to support local health care,” said Carlo Camuti at Precise ParkLink.

The event will take place on October 2 and more information can be found at www.ckhaf.ca.
