Drive-through broasted chicken dinner fundraiser in Dresden

Succulent broasted chicken and the spirit of giving come together at a drive-through dinner in Dresden on October 22.

The event is a win-win-win – local businesses and non-profits partnering in support of everyone.

“Creative collaborations are the new way forward for the United Way of Chatham-Kent,” stated Patricia Peters, acting CEO, in a press release.

“We’re joining forces with Dresden businesses to positively impact community programs. As we connect, we’re listening deeply – we want to know what’s important to the Dresden community.”

Agencies such as the Dresden Foodbank and Dresden Side Streets Youth Centre are experiencing increased need as Chatham-Kent begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

A portion of the funds raised through dinner ticket sales, donations for beverages, and non-perishable food items will support all.

Grab your Drive-Through Broasted Chicken Dinner tickets at McKellar’s Flowers and Gifts (445 St George Street) in Dresden or at the Chatham-Kent Nonprofit Centre (425 McNaughton Avenue West) in Chatham.

Tickets are $20 for a large box (three pieces of chicken potatoes, coleslaw, buns and dessert) or $12 for a small (two pieces of chicken with no coleslaw).

Dinner box pick-ups will take place at Maple Mutual Insurance, 29553 St George Street, Dresden, ON N0P 1M0 on October 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Members of the Burns Restaurant, Dresden Side Streets Youth Centre, Dresden Foodbank and United Way of Chatham-Kent teams will be in attendance.
