It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Iva Shirley Akers (nee Scratch) on November 13, 2021 at the age of 95.
Daughter of the late Ona Scratch. Iva has been reunited with her twin sister Eva (Lew) Percy and siblings Bob (Julie), Bud (Helen) Jean (Jerry) and Alicia (Gord).
She will be remembered fondly as a second mom to Pam (Bob) Coulson, Dwight (Kathy) Percy, Wendy (Jim) McCarthy as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Iva will be missed greatly by her special friend Leo. We miss you – Gizmo, Loupes, Thor and Kerby!
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Chartwell Royal Marquis Retirement, WRH – Met Campus and the Hotel Dieu Grace – Emara Centre for all you care and support.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231).
