Industrial accident in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to an industrial accident at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

A 22-year-old Chatham man was injured and transported to hospital via ambulance for medical attention.

The Ministry of Labour was contacted and has taken over the investigation.

Attempt break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 9 p.m. police responded to the report of a suspicious person inside a fenced compound attempting to enter a business on Colborne Street.

Through investigation, police determined that the suspect caused approximately $2,000 damage, while entry was not gained.

The suspect fled on foot prior to police arrival.

Traffic enforcement

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police conducted traffic enforcement on McNaughton Avenue East in between Michener Road and Prince Albert Road in Chatham.

One person was stopped and charged with speeding.

Break and enter in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, December 4, 2021, police were dispatched to the area of Marsh Street in Ridgetown in response to a break and enter.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 11 p.m. on December 3, 2021 and 7 a.m. on December 4, 2021 unknown suspects entered a garage and stole a white, 2015 Honda CRF 110 dirt bike.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Friday, November 26 and Monday, November 29, 2021, unknown suspects stole various tools from a new home under construction on Arrowhead Lane in Chatham.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $2,000.

Break and enter in Wheatley

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Officers were dispatched to 4th Concession Line in Wheatley in response to a call of a break and enter.

Sometime between 6 p.m. on December 2 and 8 a.m. on December 3, 2021 unknown suspects entered a shed on the property stealing approximately $5,000 in tools.
