Motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Through investigation the officer believed one of the males driving to be impaired by drug.

The 35-year old male of Chatham was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further tests.

As a result the male was charged with Operation While Impaired – Drugs and later released with a future court date of December 29, 2021.

Female arrested for break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to a break and enter to a residence on Wellington Street in Chatham.

Through investigation the female was identified by police and located a short time later.

The 31-year old female was arrested for break and enter commit theft, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.

The female was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Male and female arrested for breach of undertaking and facilitate

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night an officer on general patrol in Chatham located a male and female together at a residence on Brock Street in Chatham.

The male was known to be on conditions not to associate or communicate with the female.

The 34-year old male was arrested for Failing to Comply with his Undertaking, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of January 12, 2022.

The 32-year old female was arrested for Facilitating a Breach, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of January 13, 2022.

Male arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning an officer on general patrol in the area of Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg located a male who was known to be wanted on a warrant for Fail to Attend.

The 33-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date.
