CK Public Health received notice on Saturday, December 18, 2021 that the expected Pfizer vaccine order from the province was temporarily delayed.
Beginning Monday, December 20, available vaccines in stock will be distributed as follows:
– Residents ages 12-29 will receive the Pfizer vaccine as recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization
– Residents 30+ will receive the Moderna vaccine
CK Public Health officials say since Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are interchangeable for people 30 and older, there is no need to cancel or change your appointment.
It is more important to get a booster as soon as you can, public health officials added.
Should residents wish to cancel a booked appointment, they can do so online in their PerfectMind account or by completing the online cancellation form.
This vaccine administration plan will be in place until vaccine supplies from the province increase.
