Jeremiah “Jerry” Edward Victor Genyn, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the age of 82.
Jerry is the son of the late Victor and Marion (Sterling) Genyn.
Beloved husband of Marjorie (Easton).
Loving father of Penny Blue (Brad), Larry Genyn (Cathy), Jeff Genyn (Lisa) and Tanya Beselaere (Mark).
Dear grandfather of Shannan (Leighton), Jeremy (Amber), Justine (Andy), Josh (Laura), Selena, Bryer, Brody, Jacey, Jayden, Cody (Ashley), Ashley (Dustin), Jalissa (Colin) Great Grandfather of Ethan, Owen, Abby, Riley, Huxley and Brantley.
Brother of Irene Dawson (Jack) and brother-in-law of Gerry Thomas.
Jerry was predeceased by his son Robert, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Jerry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 and had worked at Decedar Brothers and Hillerich & Bradsby in Wallaceburg.
Family and friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Tuesday.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Wednesday, January 5 at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
