Mr. Richard Joseph Michael Emery, a resident of Dover Centre, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 78.
Richard was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Antoine and Celina (Myers) Emery.
Beloved husband of Rose (Gatze) Emery.
Loving father of, Clifford Emery, Melody (nee Emery) (Mike) Shepley, Jimmy Emery and Kenny Emery and step father of Ida (Geoff) Ireson, Deborah Schram and William (Maeghen) Schram.
Sadly missed by 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his sister Shirley (Art) Letourneau.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Richard was a Jack of all Trades including carpentry, auto mechanics, tree cutting and farming. He was a member of the Dover Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed playing guitar and singing and outdoor activities.
The late Richard Emery rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes, cremation will take place.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
