Hike for Hospice fundraising event set for the spring

Spring is around the corner and the Chatham-Kent Hospice is inviting supporters, friends and neighbours to join them as they ‘Hike for Hospice’ April 25 to May 1, 2022 at Mud Creek Trail in Chatham.

“With the success of last year’s virtual Hike we are sticking with this format so families can walk Mud Creek Trail anytime during the week,” stated Giri Thommandram, Hike for Hospice event chair, in a media release.

“We received such kind feedback about the addition of the memorial signs on the trail that we are offering this opportunity again this year. If you can’t make it out to Mud Creek, you can still participate remotely by completing your hike wherever you would like – on a different trail, in your neighbourhood, or even in your own house.”

Registration for the virtual event is free but participants will be able to purchase a commemorative t-shirt in addition to memorial signs.

Prior to walking, hikers are encouraged to collect pledges in support of the residents and families of Chatham-Kent
Hospice.

These vital funds will ensure families continue to receive compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.

Hike for Hospice Chatham-Kent is proudly presented by Battery Boy and generously supported by JMRD Watson Wealth Management Group and other sponsors listed on our website.
