Wallaceburg Hometown Bingo continues to support the community’s fundraising needs

Bingo has been the heart and soul of our community’s fundraising needs for years.

Without this outlet, some of our community organizations, groups and clubs would not be here today.

Did you know that Wallaceburg Hometown Bingo is one of a few non-commercial bingo halls?

It is fully run by non-profit organizations; thus all the proceeds are returned back into our community for the betterment of our citizens.

In 2003, the last commercial bingo hall closed its doors in Wallaceburg due to economic turnout and smoking bans.

There was a significant negative impact on non-profit groups and the community when this revenue source disappeared.

The impact rippled across our already economically injured community.

In early 2004, a band of 12 dedicated community groups under the leadership of the Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg re-established bingo in Wallaceburg, thanks to three local halls providing the venues.

In 2005, they expanded to create our first official non-commercial Bingo Hall in a rental facility on Arnold Street, where Bingo was offered six nights a week.

Almost four years later the Dufferin location was purchased by the Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg and the Bingo Hall was relocated.

This was one of the two milestones for Hometown Bingo.

It was not long afterwards in 2018 that Hometown Bingo was able to celebrate with the Kinsmen the milestone of raising and contributing $1,000,000 within our community.

Every day and with every play, you play for our community.
