Community Attraction & Promotion – Tourism is committed to improving visitor experiences and supporting tourism sector recovery and growth and is looking for input into a Visitor Information, Navigation & Wayfinding Strategy.
Tourism operators, businesses owners and residents of CK are encouraged to provide input by taking a survey.
COVID’s impact on the tourism sector has been significant and this strategy will support sector recovery and help future-proof the sector.
Mellor Murray Consulting along with Stempski Kelly Associates and Neumarkets Inc. have been hired to conduct the strategy and implementation plan.
The plan will consider ways in which navigation around the municipality’s various tourism assets is approached and will include how and where visitors learn about things to do and move from one location to another.
Tourism sector engagement is vital to the success of the planning process for developing the plan.
“This navigation and wayfinding strategy is an exciting and long anticipated initiative. We are so fortunate to have unique and diverse tourism assets across Chatham-Kent and this strategy will not only highlight each community but help visitors travel more easily across CK to experience what we have,” said Shannon Prince, Chair of the CK Tourism Stakeholder Advisory Council, in a press release.
More details about the strategy can be found at Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent.
The survey can be completed by following this link.
All completed surveys will be entered into a draw to win a $25 gift card from one of Chatham-Kent’s Safe Travels Stamp operators.
