Hike for Hospice 2022 raises $128,700

The community has stepped up once again to support Chatham-Kent Hospice families and residents through Hike for Hospice.

Throughout the spring hikers collected pledges and raised over $128,700 to ensure these families continue to receive compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.

“We are always impressed with the dedication of our hikers to supporting Hospice residents and their families. It was touching to once again see Mud Creek trail lined with signs memorializing those loved and lost. We hope next year to be able to gather and hike together again,” said Randi Bokor Caron, Special Event Chair for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Board of Directors, in a media release.

Many workplaces from across Chatham-Kent participated in our Corporate Challenge.

In addition to being our Hike title sponsor, Battery Boy was also the winner of our Corporate Challenge, raising the most per team member.

Honourable mentions go to the MCBS (Maple City Business Solutions) Marvels and the Hopkins Hikers.

“Thank you to everyone who participated, at Mud Creek or in your own community, those who pledged their support and to all our sponsors,” Bokor Caron added.

Additional sponsor support for Hike for Hospice Chatham-Kent was provided by MicroAge/McBusiness Solutions, JMRD Watson Wealth Management Group, and Teksavvy.
