Update: The special weather statement has ended.
A special weather statement has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as isolated thunderstorms are expected now into this evening.
Hazards, include: Strong wind gusts to 80 km/h and pea to marble sized hail.
“Isolated thunderstorms that have developed over southeastern Michigan will move across Southwestern Ontario late this afternoon or early evening,” Environment Canada officials say.
“Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports.”
