The WDSS Future Elders Students recently brought awareness to the school community of the MMIWG2S – missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2 Spirit people.
Organizers say a t-shirt was designed and sold, red dresses were put in the trees at the front of the school with red ribbons and a reconstruction of the ‘Highway of Tears’ was created from the street into the school.
