Man arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning at 1:30 a.m., an officer, while patrolling Gore Road in Blenheim, observed a vehicle driving towards them.
The vehicle swerved into the officer’s lane. The officer was able to avoid a collision with this vehicle and subsequently conducted a traffic stop.
The officer believed the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Ontario Provincial Police station for a breath test..
A 42-year-old Harwich Township man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He was subsequently released with conditions and a future court date of June 15, 2022.
Police looking for the public’s assistance
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 19, 2022 a white, 2021 Kia Telluride was reported stolen from Stanley Avenue in Chatham.
The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plate #BWNS052.
The vehicle has chrome rims, tinted windows, and a cracked windshield.
A pink/purple specialized child’s car seat was in the backseat.
