All The Cheddar wins Mark Austin Memorial Pacing series final at Dresden Raceway

All The Cheddar was the big cheese at Dresden Raceway on Sunday, as he won the $15,900 final of the Mark Austin Memorial Pacing series.

In only his second start, the three-year-old Betterthancheddar colt went wire to wire in 2:01.3 for Garrett Rooney.

All The Cheddar and Rooney set fractions of 29.2, 1:00 and 1:30.3 for the win by a head for owner/trainer Kathryn Cochrane and co-owner Steve Besterd.

The Lindsey Kerr offering of Risky Idea and driver Dan Clements finished second while Guy Smiley shook loose and was three quarters of a length back for Andy Moore.

Mark Austin’s widow, Julie, and daughters, Paige and Paula were on hand to present Rooney with a watch as the winning driver.
