Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 25, 2022 at approximately 3:50 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service and Chatham-Kent Fire attended Edgar Street in Chatham for a residential fire.&
Upon extinguishing the fire a deceased person was located inside the residence.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Major Crime Section are currently working with Ontario Fire
Marshall’s Office to determine the cause of the fire.
