Another great family activity for the summer has begun at Park’s Blueberries and Country Store, located at 14815 Longwoods Road between Bothwell and Thamesville.
Over the years many people have enjoyed the tradition of picking their own fresh blueberries at the farm and some “first timers” have come out to take part over the past few days.
The blueberry season opened up on July 3, 2022 and Hope Parks, co-owner, says their first customer came all the way from Ottawa.
Park’s Blueberries also hosts other great treats from fresh strawberries to pies, tarts, cakes, scones and jams.
Customers can also enjoy lunch at their restaurant, sample some of their desserts and then shop in their store, where customers will find cookbooks, art, jewelry, a clothing line and baking apparel.
“It is worth the short drive,” Parks said.
