North Kent Councillor Jamie McGrail filed her nomination papers this week and will be seeking a second term as a Municipal Councillor, representing Ward 4 – North Kent.
“(On Tuesday) I filed my papers for the next Municipal election,” McGrail wrote on social media.
“I would love to have the opportunity to continue to stand for North Kent, Ward 4 as Chatham-Kent continues to move forward.”
McGrail was first elected to Chatham-Kent Council in 2018.
She serves on the Public Utilities Commission, Infrastructure Innovation Committee and the Dresden BIA.
McGrail recently opened the doors to A Beach Affair, located at 20 Main Street, back in June.
“In the next coming weeks I will be preparing my election campaign information and starting a list for my election signs,” McGrail said.

McGrail is the first candidate to file their nomination papers in North Kent.
Election day is Monday, October 24, 2022.
