Police: Forcible confinement, boat stolen, trailer stolen

Man arrested for domestic offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 8, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., police attended a residence in Wallaceburg for a domestic incident.

Through investigation, police learned on August 7, 2022, the man and woman engaged in a verbal argument which escalated when the man attempted to stop the woman from leaving by tackling her.

The woman sustained a laceration near her eye.

On August 9, 2022, the 38-year-old Wallaceburg man was located and arrested.

He was charged with assault and forcible confinement.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Theft of a boat and trailer

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight, on August 8, 2022, a green, Outboard 14’ aluminum boat and a black 2-wheel trailer were stolen from a St. Clair Street address in Chatham.

The boat contained a black 2010 14hp Mercury motor.

The boat was last seen bearing the hull number ON2153190.

The trailer was last seen bearing plate number J1071C.

Theft of trailer

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight, on August 8, 2022, a white, 15’, 2019 Legend dual axle enclosed trailer was stolen from a Howard Road address in Chatham.

The trailer was last seen with a “Cutting Edge Insulation” decal on the side and license plate number S9567X.
