Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 22, 2022, a maroon 2008 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck was reported stolen from an address on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township.

The vehicle was last seen bearing Ontario marker 5921FT.

Man arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 2:25 p.m., police responded to a vehicle stopped at Base Line and Freedom Road intersection in Camden Township.

Police arrived on the scene a found the driver, and lone occupant, passed out behind the wheel.

The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from London.

The 44-year-old Sarnia man was arrested, issued a 3-day driver’s license suspension, and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of September 26, 2022.

Woman arrested for break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:14 p.m., police responded to a break and enter complaint on Emma Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned the woman entered the residence, consumed a beverage from the fridge and caused property damage.

The woman also stole keys to the home.

The 39 -year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and charged with break and enter, mischief, thief, and possession of the stolen property.

She was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of October 3, 2022.
