Sarnia Police Service seeking feedback for their 2023-2025 business plan

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) and the Sarnia Police Services Board are currently developing the 2023-2025 Sarnia Police Business Plan.

“This important document will shape the strategic direction and priorities of the SPS over the next three years and beyond,” Sarnia Police officials say.

The current 2020-2022 business plan is available online at: 2020-2022 Business Plan

“Community consultation is a critical component to this process and this is your opportunity to have a say in how effective policing services are delivered in your community,” Sarnia Police official say.

“Public input will help to ensure the SPS continues to provide adequate and effective policing to the unique and diverse communities we serve. We would like to extend an open invitation to attend one of the following in-person town-hall public consultation sessions.”

1) September 8, 2022, 7 pm to 9 pm, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church Hall, 390 Christina Street North

2) September 17, 2022, 10am to 12pm, Strangway Community Centre, 260 East Street North

3) September 20, 2022, 7 pm to 9 pm, Bright’s Grove Public School, 2612 Hamilton Road

4) September 28, 2022, 7pm to 9 pm, Pat Stapleton Arena, 134 Brock Street South

Representatives from local businesses, agencies or community groups are also encouraged to attend.

To ensure adequate space is available, please RSVP by providing your name, organization (if applicable), and date you will be attending by sending an e-mail to: businessplan@police.sarnia.on.ca or by contacting 519-346-4654.

As an alterative to in-person attendance, the SPS will be collecting input via a community wide electronic survey. Further details on how to access the survey will be released in September.
