Leslie Anne Helbin (nee Toulouse) of Wallaceburg passed away at Fairfield Park on September 19, 2022 at the age of 74 with her family by her side.

Leslie was born in Chatham on June 28, 1948, daughter of the late Maurice Toulouse and the late Florence Toulouse (nee Adams).

She was also step daughter to the late Betty Toulouse.

Leslie is the loving sister of Jane Ridenour (Bob), Bud (Rhonda) Toulouse and Lorraine Derush (Jim Campbell).

Leslie is survived by her three children, Vicki (Jerry) Renaud, Lisa (Donny) Medd and Dave (Krystal) Helbin.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kali, Cody, Austin, Jayden and Levi. Leslie was predeceased by her loving husband Richard Helbin (2011). Leslie is also predeceased by her daughter Stacey Anne (1978).

Leslie worked hard to gain the position of a Logistics coordinator at St. Clair Technologies and was a devoted employee for more than 15 years.

Leslie loved to camp and spent many years at a trailer that was parked at Falls Reserve Conservation Authority in Goderich where she met what would become her camping family with whom she shared her life and love.

Leslie’s love and devotion to her family was immense and unconditional.

She devoted the early parts of her life to raising her children and was always their biggest cheerleader, attending any and all school and sporting events.

She would often be found as a spectator at many soccer games, volleyball games, track and field and hockey games for many years.

Leslie had a big heart, a kind spirit and a beautiful smile.

Although the last few years presented some challenges as dementia stole her from her family little by little, you could always count on seeing her big beautiful smile that will be missed by her family and friends.

Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home (409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, 519-627-3231) on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 1pm until the time of her funeral service at 2pm.

She will be laid to rest with her husband Richard at Riverview Cemetery.
