Man arrested for using stolen credit cards

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:45 a.m., police responded to Cemetery Road in Wallaceburg for a theft from a vehicle complaint.

A wallet was reported stolen containing identification and credit cards.

Through investigation, police learned several attempts to use and take cash advances from a credit card had been made at several retail businesses in the area.

Police were able to identify the man through surveillance video.

The 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was located and arrested.

He was charged with possessing stolen property, failing to comply with a release order, two counts of unauthorized use of a credit card, and two counts of drawing documents without authority.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for uttering threats

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:53 a.m., police began investigating threats made toward a Municipal employee.

Through investigation, police learned the man voiced unhappiness with the services he received from the municipality.

In expressing his displeasure, he also made threats to bring harm to another employee not present during the altercation.

The man was located and arrested.

The 47-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and charged with uttering threats.

He was released with conditions and a future court date of November 27, 2022.

Man arrested for impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:24 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on Queens Line in Raleigh Township.

A vehicle was reported swerving over the roadway.

The police arrived in the area and located the vehicle.

In speaking with the driver, the officer believed he was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 30-year-old Dresden man has been charged with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of October 17, 2022.
