Police: B&E in Wallaceburg, B&E in Blenheim, drunk in public

Break and enter in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, two male suspects attempted to enter a residence on Duncan Street in Wallaceburg.

The two suspects kicked down the front door and were confronted by the residents who were home at the time.

The suspects were last seen running away from the residence in the area of Elgin Street.

Man charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, police responded to the report of a disturbance with a man at a hotel in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the man was refused entry at a nearby bar and returned to the hotel causing a disturbance with other hotel guests.

For his own safety, the intoxicated man was taken into custody as he was unable to care for himself.

The 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

He will be released when sober.

Break and enter in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 11:05 p.m. on Saturday evening, unknown suspects entered a business on Marlborough Street in Blenheim through a window.

The alarm to the business sounded and scared off the suspects.

At this time, it is believed that there was nothing stolen.
