Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday Chatham-Kent police officers continued with Operation Impact which targets road safety.
A total of eight Provincial offence notices were issued for Highway Traffic Act infractions.
Theft in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to an address on Blossom Pl. in Chatham in regards to a theft complaint.
Sometime overnight, unknown suspects entered a vehicle and stole various items including a Barnett White Tail crossbow.

Man arrested on warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, just after 1 p.m. police located a male that had stolen some copper wire from the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance the day prior.
A Chatham man was arrested and charged with Theft and Possession Under $5,000.
He was released with a future court date of October 31, 2022.
Break and enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between 10 p.m. on October 8 and 6:30 p.m. on October 9, unknown suspects kicked open a door to a detached garage on Poplar Street in Chatham.
Once inside the suspects removed a stereo.

Man arrested with stolen motorcycle
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, just after 8:30 p.m., an officer on general patrol observed a motorcycle travelling on Richmond Street with no lights on.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the motorcycle and through investigation revealed that the driver had provided a false name.
Further investigation revealed that the motorcycle was stolen.
A Chatham man was arrested and charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer and Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.
He was later released with a future court date of November 7, 2022.
Man and woman arrested for breaching conditions
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: This morning, at approximately 1:05 a.m. police were called to an apartment on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg in regards to a noise complaint.
As a result of the investigation police revealed that the two occupants of the apartment were on conditions not to be in the presence of one another.
The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for failing to comply as well as having an outstanding warrant.
He was transported to CKPS HQ where he was held pending a bail hearing.
A Wallaceburg woman was arrested for Failing to Comply and later released with a future court date of November 21, 2022.
Woman arrested for breaching house arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, just after 2 a.m., a female contacted police as she thought someone was banging on her door.
Police attended to find the complaint unfounded.
Through further investigation, it was revealed that the caller had an outstanding warrant as well as being on house arrest for another address.
The 21-year-old Chatham female was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman arrested during disturbance
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday night, police responded to a disturbance at a business in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman was currently bound by conditions not to attend the business.
The 43-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and when placed in the rear of the cruiser, began spitting on the partition and window.
She has been charged with failing to comply with her release conditions and mischief under $5,000.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE)
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted RIDE spot checks at various locations in Chatham.
A total of 166 vehicles were checked with one roadside test being administered.
No one was arrested for impaired driving.
As road safety is a priority for our Police Service, we would like to remind everyone that RIDE spot checks will continue throughout our community in an effort to keep all road users safe.
