Man arrested for bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 6, 2022, at 6:50 p.m., police began investigating a bail violation.

It was reported the man entered a home without permission and was confronted by a person he was on conditions not to be within 100 meters.

Through investigation, the police formed the grounds for charges.

On October 11, 2022, at 4:53 p.m., the 38-year-old Chatham-Kent man turned himself into the police.

He was arrested and charged with break and enter and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for intimate partner violence offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:26 p.m., police responded to King Street West for a disturbance.

Police attended and located a man and a woman.

Through investigation, police learned the two engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated when the woman punched and scratched the man.

The 33-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault.

She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2022.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:34 p.m., police responded to Kent Bridge Road in Chatham Township for a suspicious person.

It was reported a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and walking a motorcycle was knocking on doors looking to purchase fuel.

Police arrived and located the motorcycle parked on the side of the roadway.

With the assistance of K9 Helix and a drone, the police found the man in a cornfield.

Through investigation, police learned the man was bound by a curfew condition.

The 45-year-old Camden Township man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2022.
