The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) is set to host a ‘One Bench One Tree’ dedication celebration in honour of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) frontline staff.
The ceremony will take plac eon Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance site in Chatham
“‘One Bench One Tree’ is a grassroots project dedicated to expressing gratitude to frontline workers and other healthcare staff during and after the COVID-19 pandemic,” CKHAF officials said in a media release.
“Their objective is to add at least one bench and one tree to the landscape of hospitals across Canada to thank the workers who put their lives at risk to keep our communities safe during the pandemic.”
CKHAF officials added: “With this One Bench One Tree project now completed at CKHA’s Chatham site, we are excited to see the same project completed at the Wallaceburg site in the near future.”
The One Bench One Tree project completed at CKHA’s Chatham site was made possible by Keegan, who generously donated 100% of the profits from his website keegankares.com towards this initiative.
CKHAF officials say Keegan Kares is an online business that sells homemade bath bombs and handcrafted cards.
Chatham’s Earthworks Garden Centre donated the installation services, and Harris Brothers Limited donated the concrete for this project.
