K of P Santa Claus Parade held in Wallaceburg (Photos)

The Knights of Pythias held their 52nd annual Santa Claus Parade in Wallaceburg on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

The parade was able to be held at full capacity for the first time since 2019.

Floats, dignitaries and supporters gathered on Arnold Street before heading up Dufferin Avenue, downtown James Street and wrapping up along Nelson Street.

Former Wallaceburg Mayor and Chatham-Kent Councillor Jeff Wesley was the Parade Marshal this year.

Jerry Blake, a member of the K of P, thanked the community and volunteers on social media for making the parade, and all of their annual events, a reality.

“We are lucky to be able to provide activities to the youth in Wallaceburg like the Santa Claus Parade, Easter Egg Hunt, Read and Ride and others as well as being involved with other clubs in Wallaceburg like Red Devils, Glen Jackson Memorial Race Day, Chatham-Kent Special Olympics, our Burnout Spectator (and) our Annual Golf Tournament,” Blake said.

“None of these programs or events can be put on or happen without all of our members or volunteers from the community. It’s time to realize what a great community we live and what our fellow citizens, service clubs and small businesses are really doing for the community.”

Blake added the K of P are always looking for new members.

They can be reached through Facebook, here.

The K of P shared dozens of photos on social media as well. Check out a few, below:
