The Lorne Avenue and Elgin Street intersection in Wallaceburg is set to be closed for a couple of days next week as part of the Lorne Avenue reconstruction project.
The work will consist of roadway construction and asphalt installation.
Municipal officials say Elgin Street between Selkirk Street and University Avenue and Lorne Avenue between Elizabeth Street and Wall Street will be closed on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 to Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All lanes will be closed at the intersection and local traffic will be permitted up to the work zone.
“Emergency Services will not have access through the work zone,” Municipal officials added.
A detour route is being setup from Selkirk Street, to Elizabeth Street, to Lisgar Street, to Elgin Street, to University Street, to Wall Street.
The overall project had recently been extended to Friday, December 2 at 6 p.m.
