A special weather statement has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as strong wind gusts are expected Thursday.
The timing is early Thursday morning into Thursday afternoon, forecasters say.
The hazards, include southeasterly wind gusts of up to 80 km/h.
The impacts expected are loose objects possibly being tossed by the wind and power outages are possible.
“A strong low pressure system is expected to bring gusty southeasterly winds to southwestern Ontario early Thursday morning,” Environment Canada officials say.
“The wind is expected to ease off late Thursday afternoon. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.”
