Chatham-Kent recognized for ‘Supporting 2SLGBTQ+ People in the Workplace’ campaign

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has announced that their marketing campaign ‘Supporting 2SLGBTQ+ People in the Workplace’ is a finalist for an Award of Excellence from the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO).

“This campaign was created in collaboration with our municipal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice team and with the help of the CK Gay Pride Association and other community partners such as the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance,” Chatham-Kent economic development officials said on social media.

“We launched this week-long campaign during Chatham-Kent (CK) Pride Week to spread awareness of ways that local businesses can support the 2SLGBTQ+ community and to spread awareness regarding local associations, advocates, groups, resources, and allies.”

Economic development officials added: “Work like this is essential to our efforts in Economic Development, as it highlights one of the many ways Chatham-Kent continues to grow into a community worth investing in.”
