Impaired operation of motor vehicle
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the early evening of February 8, 2023, a 70-year-old Dover man was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The male was brought to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released on a Form 10 and a court date of March 6, 2023.
Residential B&E and stolen vehicle
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 8, 2023, around 10 p.m., unknown suspects entered a residence and removed keys to the homeowner’s motor vehicle.
The suspects exited the residence and left in the homeowner’s motor vehicle, a 2008 Blue Toyota.

Impaired driving in St. Clair Township
OPP officials allege: On February 8, 2023, at just before 7:30 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol on Lyndock Street, St. Clair Township.
The officer, observing a traffic violation, conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver suspected the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
A roadside screening device was administered which resulted in a Fail. The driver was arrested and transported to a Lambton OPP detachment where further testing resulted in the driver being over the legal limit.
A 42-year-old St. Clair Township man has been charged with, Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on March 15, 2023.
B&E and theft
OPP officials allege: Two individuals have been arrested and charged in nighttime break, enter and theft in St. Clair Township.
On Thursday February 2, 2023 at just before 11:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted regarding a possible break and enter in progress in the 400 block of Queen Street, St. Clair Township.
Upon arrival, officers located two males parked in a pickup truck within the immediate area.
Upon contacting the occupants, officers arrested the individuals in relation to the reported property crime.
A 42-year-old Sarnia man and a 27-year-old Forest man has been charged with the following:
– Mischief Under $5000 (six counts),
– Break, Enter a Place (four counts),
– Theft Under $5000 (two counts) and,
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
The Sarnia man has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on March 13, 2023.
The Forest man was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on February 13, 2023.
Impaired driving charges following crash
OPP officials allege: One person is charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 402.
On Wednesday February 8, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision on Highway 402, near London Line in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
Upon speaking with the driver, officers suspected the individual was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to an OPP detachment for additional testing.
A 25-year-old London woman has been charged with:
– Operation While Impaired and,
– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus),
– Novice Driver – BAC Above Zero
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on March 20, 2023.
There were no injuries.
