Pancake breakfast being held at the Legion for Wallaceburg Minor Baseball

Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association (WMBA) is holding a fundraising breakfast, with the aim of building new dugouts for the girls’ fastball division at Glen Mickle Park.

The pancake breakfast fundraiser is set to take place on March 4, 2023 at The Legion.

The times are from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Some Minor Baseball volunteers got out early to clear some of the overnight snow as well.

“WMBA Dads working hard early this morning to make sure you have a place to park when you come have your delicious pancake breakfast,” Minor Baseball officials say.

“If you didn’t RSVP to our event page- you may not know… we have 50/50 with a $1000 goal! Hopefully we’ll send one of you lucky attendees into the weekend with $500 in your pocket. We also have a colouring contest. Remember the Jays hat and Tigers bag we posted this week… they’re colouring contest prizes! Warriors are here for a great time! See you soon!”

Cost is $12 for adults, $8 for kids four and up and children three and under are free.

“This event is being held to help build dugouts at one of the Glen Mickle diamonds,” organizers say.

“Raising this money is so important because our fastball league’s home field is Glen Mickle. We welcome our community to join us for a delicious pancake breakfast, with all the fixings and bacon, at our first dugout fundraising event.”

WMBA officials also wanted to give thanks to their community donors who are helping make the event happen: Mark and Sarah’s No Frills and Branch 18 at the Forks.
