‘Retro Rewind’ themed Festival of Giving being held June 3 at Sons of Kent

Chatham-Kent’s TekSavvy has once again stepped up to be the Festival of Giving Event Sponsor.

Their continued support of the event helps organizers focus their efforts on supporting local causes and organizations.

After three years of pandemic forced festivals, the 2023 Festival of Giving (FoG) returns June 3, 2023.

This year’s theme is ‘Retro Rewind!’ and will be held, for the first time ever, at Sons of Kent Brewing Company, located at 27 Adelaide St. S. in Chatham.

“TekSavvy believes in building and supporting healthy communities,” stated Pierre Aube, Chief Operating Officer for TekSavvy, in a media release.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Festival of Giving and all of the organizations that stand to benefit from this event.”

Dava Robichaud, administrative and event coordinator/community partner at TekSavvy added: “This is such a great event. It’s always been exciting to take part, but what I really love is that at the end of the day we are helping people in our community.”

Tim Regan, FoG co-chair is excited to have TekSavvy back as Event Sponsor.

“This donation from the team at TekSavvy allows us to get Chatham-Kent back together in person to support the community,” he said, in a media release.

Tickets will be available before the end of March.

“We’re so excited to host the 20th annual Festival of Giving, Regan added.

“An event that started in a church basement, grew to be one of the biggest yearly events in the municipality and is alive and well.”

Any interested sponsors can reach out to Tim or co-chair Chris McLeod.

The Festival of Giving will celebrate its 20th anniversary this Spring.

The brainchild of current Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff, started in a church basement.

Once growing out of that space, moved to the former Kinsmen Auditorium before finding a home at the Bradley Convention Centre and now Sons of Kent.

Fun themes, surprising guests and entertainment – and giving back to the community is the backbone of the Festival of Giving.
